Well, here’s some exciting news: I have started an internship at Southeast Tech with the marketing department! I’m really excited to have this opportunity to get some knowledge and put my skills to the test. And what makes it super nice is that it’s 30 second walk to my classes! So I’ll be working with the marketing department to help different things. They could be promotional, paperwork, or getting in contact with people for printing.

I’m going to backtrack for just a moment. I first heard about this last year from a second year student that I would sometimes talk with. She had this opportunity and really enjoyed it. I didn’t think of it again until one of my professors sent out an email that the department was interested in doing this again. I talked to him and then the head of the marketing department. She explained what the purpose was for it and it sounded exciting. It was the opportunity to do both design and basic structural work. Finally, I talked to the person that will supervise me. I agreed and then we’re off! I’m definitely excited to experience a real life situation of graphic designing and to test what I know.
