One assignment due today was a series of pictures about white balancing and it was a lot of fun to do! First, I had to take a grey card and take a picture of it using AV mode. Then I went into my menu and selected that for custom white balancing. This will save me a lot of time in the future to correct the color in it. I can also just take a picture of my subject with the grey card and use that in Camera Raw on Adobe Bridge.
For this assignment, we were suppose to test what the different modesĀ of lighting looked like depending on what the lights were. For example, I took a picture of the building with the light mode for “Daylight” but I also used “Cloudy”, “Tungsten”, “Flourescent”, and “Flash”. These showed how different lights and different lighting modes will affect the image. I’m really excited to explore lighting in the future and how I can use it to my advantage.
